There has been much discussion about whether votes in this next election will be counted securely.

Every state has rules about what poll observers can do at the polls and how votes can be challenged. Here are the rules for your state:

Maine Municipalities must allow at least one worker from each political party to remain outside the guardrail enclosure as a pollwatcher. (21-A Me. Rev. Stat. Ann. § 627).

A voter of a municipality or an election official may challenge the right of another to vote at an election in that municipality. (21-A Me. Rev. Stat. Ann. § 673).
